With beautiful views of the San Francisco Bay as the backdrop, Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) held an event on August 25, 2022 to celebrate Women’s Equality Day on August 26th and to raise a glass and recognize the strong women in the transportation industry who are breaking barriers and shattering the proverbial glass ceiling.
Acumen was in attendance at the eye-opening and empowering event, listening to General Manager and CEO Carolyn Gonot of Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), VTA Planning Chief Deborah Dagang and Parsons Business Development Director, Northern California, Michelle DiFrancia as they spoke of their experiences and gave advice to women in the workforce, while Executive Director Tess Lengyel of the Alameda County Transportation Commission moderated.
