Amtrak American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Los Angeles Maintenance Facility

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) appropriated $1.3 billion to Amtrak for capital investment, $850 million of it to rebuild and modernize infrastructure, equipment and business systems. For one ARRA-funded project, Acumen provided construction management services for building the new maintenance facility in Los Angeles, CA. The facility is designed to make the Amtrak system more efficient in executing maintenance on its fleet.

Acumen also provided inspection services at the Los Angeles maintenance facility project site. Services included technical inspection with reporting and testing to ensure compliance and conformance with contract documents. Other duties included inspecting concrete pours and testing indirect waste line installation and backfills.
