The City of Oakland selected Acumen to provide on-call professional services including various construction management and inspection services. The scope of services requires general knowledge of construction within the City of Oakland. Acumen is performing work on these projects:
Citywide Pavement Resurfacing Project: Acumen and subconsultants are providing inspection and material testing services. This includes field inspection to ensure conformance with approved contract plans and specifications, material testing/specialty inspection coordination and other services.
1003439C – Fire Station 10; 1003439B ‐ Fire Station 16; 1003449 Oakland Animal Services; HVAC Replacement; 1005316 Park Fitness Courts: For these citywide capital improvement projects, Acumen and subconsultants are providing inspection and material testing services. This includes field inspection to ensure conformance with approved contract plans and specifications, material testing/specialty inspection coordination and other services.
Additional services
On-Call Transportation Planning: Acumen is also assisting the City of Oakland with transportation plans and programs. Services may include assistance with transit, bicycle and pedestrian plans; transportation programs such as parking, transportation demand management, bike share or car share; streets, sidewalks and intersection (geometric) design improvements; assistance with fund tracking and grant applications; and design and analytical software programs in engineering or planning for research, development of standards, recordkeeping, education and training.
Scheduling Services: Acumen also provided scheduling consulting services to the City of Oakland for its Oakland Army Base Project. Using Oracle Primavera, Acumen prepared the baseline design schedule and overall project schedule, monitored progress and updated the schedules as necessary.
