Acumen provided hardware and software systems support services to Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority for Acumen’s AcuFare 200™ Smart Card Fare Collection System deployment on the Yuma County Area Transit (YCAT) bus transit system. This system improved mobility and transit access for local residents. Support services included enhancements to back-end system software, the manufacture and repair of AcuFare system hardware and the supply of miscellaneous spare parts.
Initially, Acumen manufactured 21 customized AcuFare 200 devices for use by the YCAT system. The purchase included ISO 14443-compliant Type B DESFire smart cards with custom graphics. Each card includes a digital serial number and a sequential, printed serial number for customer service tracking and card identification.
